Art Camp Information
Art Camp 2012: UpCycle is August 6th-9th from 9 AM to Noon. Registration begins April 15th @ 8 AM and is on-line only! Payment is due at the time of registration. Registered volunteers will receive registration information on April 13th in order to reserve their children's class at Art Camp.
Ages
Art Camp is for children 5 years old through completed 2nd grade. Art Camp electives are for children who have completed 3rd-5th Grade.
Changes to Art Camp
We have made some important changes to our Art Camp. Please read the following:
1) We no longer have a 4 year old class. However, if you are a volunteer, your children 4 and under will have a class to attend. Volunteer children that are 4 years old will still pay the Art Camp registration fee but will be in their own classroom with their own projects.
2) We will have a Bible story center each day for each age group. The cost will remain the same, however, your child's registration will include a t-shirt.
Waiting List
A waiting list will be made available once all Art Camp spaces are full. There is no guarentee of acceptance if on the waiting list.
Registered Camper Packets
Once again, registered camper packets will be available at the church office one week before Art Camp. This packet will include the campers nametags, pick-up information and t-shirt. Only children previously registered for camp will be able to receive registered camper packet. Registration is typically closed by the end of April.
3rd-5th Grade Electives

Third - Fifth Grade Electives are Full. There are very limited spaces available in knitting, music, and creative writing. If you would like to have your child in one of these, please call the church office at 281-358-3865 and talk to Shannon Rains.
Payment
At the end of the registration process, we accept Paypal for your payment. An account is not necessary. Checks and cash may be accepted in the office but registration is not finalized until payment is received.
Refunds
Refunds will be given with written notice through July 15th. In order to receive a refund, email shannon@kwcoc.com with your child's name, age, your name, and your mailing address. I will email receipt of your request of a refund and turn it in to the office. You should receive a check in the mail in 7-10 business days. If you do not receive your check, let me know. If there is an illness or death in the family, refunds will be offered through the first day of Art Camp.
Volunteers
Volunteers are a must to have a fun and productive Art Camp. It takes over 100 volunteers for Art Camp and we invite all of our church members and community friends to sign up to help. If you sign up before April 13, 2012, you will receive priority registration for Art Camp. In order to receive priority registration, you must: 1) fill out the online volunteer form before the 13th and 2) provide your email address and check the box gives us permission to send you email.
Art is Messy!
Be sure that your children are prepared for messy projects by dressing appropriately. T-shirts are provided to cover up clothes for paint projects.
